The PRS5 Standard is ShopBot's value-oriented professional gantry router aimed at moderate-volume production shops, sign makers, educators, and woodworkers. It shares the PRS frame, rack-and-pinion drives, and hardened-track/linear-rail motion of the Alpha but uses open-loop stepper drives and a single-source control box for lower cost. It is offered in 4'×8' and 5'×8' sizes with 8" of Z travel and spindle options from 1 hp to 5 hp.
