The PRS5 Alpha is ShopBot's professional-grade gantry router using Oriental Motor alphaStep closed-loop steppers for position-loss detection and high rapid speeds. It is offered in 4'×8' (96-48) and 5'×8' (96-60) work areas with 8", 14", or 26" of Z travel and spindle options up to 5 hp. An automatic-tool-change variant (PRS5 Alpha ATC) adds a 9-position linear tool bar and 5 hp ISO30 spindle.
