The Freedom 8 is the current-generation 4'×8' machine in DMS's Freedom line, with 12" of Z travel (9" under-bridge clearance) and a Hiteco electrospindle to 24,000 rpm. It runs Fagor AC servos with ballscrews on all axes and the Fagor 8070 OL control, and upgrades to an aluminum table are optional. Rapid feeds reach 1,400 ipm.
